Staying Positive during Assessment Period

“To achieve great things, two things are needed: a plan and not quite enough time.”  – Leonard Bernstein

So, it’s assignment and exam time and the past few weeks have been busy to say the least. As you probably already know, I’m in my final year studying Drama and Performance. In the last days I’ve been working, rehearsing for practical exams, learning lines (sadly I can’t just blag my way through a Shakespeare performance) writing assignments and catching up with my friends after the Christmas break. I’m actually in the middle of writing 1558703_10151821331127167_1421079973_nan assignment right this second, but know that having a break is a good thing and so here I am, in my bed, writing this and eating a bacon sandwich!

This post isn’t about anything in particular but I think that’s okay! We can’t do incredibly interesting things all the time and in all honesty I haven’t done a whole lot the past few weeks! Being at uni can be stressful when you have assignments to write and other things to prepare for. But the majority of us are in the same boat. Big deep breaths and a few mugs of coffee are getting me through this pretty manic time, but I have to remember that this time next week it’ll all be over! This feeling that time is ticking and the world is caving in really won’t last forever.

And though I tell myself this every semester, maybe for my final few months of uni I really should start my assignments earlier.

Chin up because we can do this!
