A sticky ginger and soy treat!

I found this idea in the Hairy Bikers family cookbook, I had all the ingredients already in my cupboards but you can find them all at really great prices at Aldi. Perfect for a student budget!

You will need:

4 tbsp of dark soy sauce

1 tbsp wholegrain mustard (or any other one that you like)

A handful of finely chopped root ginger

2 tbsp oil

Pieces of chicken

  1. Mix the marinade ingredients in an ovenproof dish and add the chicken. Leave to marinade for best results.
  2. The next day, preheat the oven to 200 degrees or Gas mark 6 and roast the chicken for 30 minutes until cooked through and wonderfully brown and sticky. Serve with a sweet chilli sauce, rice and some veggies.
