Hello everyone, I presume you are also reading this article while trying not to be…yet already procrastinating, am I right? I know the Internet is full of tips and tricks on how to stop procrastinating, however, it is really hard sometimes not to.
Whether you are submitting your essay, report or studying for an exam, sometimes you can’t even look at the paper/screen anymore and are fed up with it. What to do then? Should you continue torturing yourself of just wrap it up? Honestly, sometimes it’s good to have a break from all the studying or do something that would help you finish your work. And what do I mean by that?

Clear your mind
Close the work, turn off your computer and do something that you know will help you relax. Your brain is craving some fresh air so why not try to get some?
Take a break. Your brain needs some time off and can’t be concentrating forever, therefore, go out for a while, go for a run or do something completely different than browsing the internet.
Drink, drink, and drink!
Do not forget to keep yourself hydrated (clarifying: with non-alcoholic drinks haha) while working on your assignments. If you decide to work on your assignments in Peirson Study Centre, you may be lucky to be given a bottle of water, some fruits or snacks by the SU (I was once among the ones)! This will definitely brighten your day and increase your determination.
Another very good motivation can be rewarding yourself after a significant progress. Nothing can beat a nice cup of coffee (yay, caffein!) or cake, am I right? Therefore, if you are really helpless and drained, reward yourself. Energy will come along with the sweet reward and you can happily continue with your work.
Find yourself a study buddy
Everything is easier when done in a team. Find yourself a study buddy and studying will go smoother than you would expect! Keep each other motivated!
When it comes to creative assignments, a brainstorm with your friend may actually even help you. Remember, we are all in this together, therefore, the peer pressure can get you motivated and work can be done efficiently.
It is also important to find yourself a good place to study. If Peirson is too crowded for you, try the Hive.
If the weather is nice and you don’t necessarily need your laptop to work with, give a try studying outside.
These are just some tips that can get you back in the mood for studying, hopefully, you find some helpful! Good luck with all of your assignments and LET’S GET THE SEMESTER FINISHED!
