As some of you know, I’ve spent the last couple of months on an Erasmus exchange, in Barcelona. Needless to say, going there was the best decision I’ve ever made, as Barcelona is now the place where I’ve spent the best time of my life, with unforgettable moments and incredible friendships.
By far the best times were the ones spent with my Erasmus family, traveling around Spain (which, I have to say, is more beautiful than I thought), going to crazy parties in Barcelona (the ones we went to when we actually caught the train to the city), the endless meetings at Frankfurt (the campus café) or the loooong studying sessions which would always end with even longer pool breaks.
At the other end are the somehow tough moments…the exams period. This was very different to what I’ve experienced so far in the UK. First of all, most of my subjects were more related to economics and mathematics rather than marketing and advertising.
That made them quite difficult as I was never good with numbers or equations. Second of all, this period was extremely stressful for me because the exams were very close one to another (4 of them were in 3 consecutive days) and because there were times when I thought passing everything would be impossible.
Luckily, I was wrong in doubting myself and that demanding period is now gone and dusted.
Now I am back to Romania for a short family holiday, after which I will start my placement year, working for a travel company (there couldn’t have been a better fit). So overall my future looks pretty busy and promising and I am very excited to see what this new stage in my life will bring. Stay tuned, I promise I’ll let you know all about it!
