Students, time flies when you’re having fun!

Hi there! I’m Kelly and I’m excited to tell you I’m going to be a new Student Blogger! I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself and if you enjoy similar things or find my experiences interesting, than you can follow my journey!

I’ve just started my second year of Sports Development and Coaching at the University of Worcester, and I absolutely love it! In my last year of sixth form, I was determined that I would never start university, but I’m so glad I changed my mind and ‘took the leap’, as I’ve had so many laughs and learnt so much; including how to cook at long last!

I currently live with my three best girlies, although I do miss the flat environment of my first year! Living with a mixture of 7 guys and girls, was actually the best first year mates I could of asked for, after being so nervous to start university!

I don’t think I actually realised that everyone had the same fear before moving in, but after taking a door stop and having a few drinks, we all got on like a house on fire! With a year full of laughs to follow, including cocktail nights, a flat Christmas meal, the odd mid night baking and a flat awards night to round up the year!

Alongside juggling my student life studying, I’m also part of the Universities Swimming Society, which involves two land training sessions and two swim sessions.

By joining a society I’ve had so many laughs in and out the pool, especially social Wednesdays with all the fancy dress outfits; the most recent being Halloween!

I’ve also managed to get a place volunteering as a Swimming Coach at Worcester Swimming Club; with what spare time I have left anyway! The club are like my second family and made me feel so welcome after leaving my original swimming team at home after being with them 10 years!

So I’m sorry, family, but you’ll have to come and visit me in Worcester when I can fit you into my schedule!

Anyway, thanks for reading my first blog, watch out for some more on my other coaching and sporting journeys! Oh as well as the educational aspect of Uni!
