Reading week? Nah, what about Sporting Week instead…?

Kelly is back, everyone! Here’s what she was up during Worcester Week, last week.

Hello again! What a busy month – graduation happened recently, but for current students like me, that week was actually a really busy week! Never mind reading week, it was sporting Worcester week!

If you haven’t heard about it before, Worcester Week happens twice a year, giving you the choice to take part in so many level 1 and 2 qualifications as well as your usual first aid courses!

So this week, I thought I’d sign up for the Netball Level 2 Qualification, as got it for a right bargain at £240 instead of the ‘outside university’ rate of £395! Perks of being a student!!

Anyway, I can now officially say after two days full of netball practices, group work and coaching with bright red imprinted ‘COACH’ hats, I am almost a Level 2 qualified Netball Coach with only one practical exam out of two to go!

The course taught me so many netball practices and progression all lead by two brilliant Netball coach leaders from England Net.

The best part of it all is when it is full completed I can earn up to £20 an hour coaching Netball sessions after school in primary schools! Now that’s a fab idea for when you’re broke at Uni!

The course was also another way of making even more friends at university (even for me in my second year) whilst giving yourself an extra qualification by your degree! Not to mention it gets you out of the reading of reading week for a couple of days! Definitely a bonus!
