You’ve just checked your e-mail, mail and UCAS account and surprise, surprise – there’s an invitation for you to attend an interview at the university you’ve applied for!
University assignments were different to what I had done in the sixth form so I really didn’t know what to expect when I got my first assignment back. I was so happy when I passed with a good grade and it really gave me the confidence to develop my writing style.
I first went home from the university at Christmas. I had been at the university since late September and although I’d met up with family and friends, this was the first time that I’d gone home for a prolonged period of time.
I first visited Worcester on an open day and really loved the feel of the university and thought that the course was perfect for me.
Packing to leave for the university for the first time is really exciting. For me, it felt like I was going on an adventure and I was already looking forward to the great times I was going to have.
So, you’ve spent weeks revising, days stressing, hours in hot exam halls and it all boils down to the minute you open up your results.
At the end of my second year at university I realised that if I wanted to have any chance of securing a job when I finished, I would need to work on my CV and get some relevant work experience.
