First year at university is full of exciting moments, but also challenges. This post reveals some of the struggles I have in my first year at Worcester.
Now that my first year at university is over (where did the time go?), I can definitely say it was full of changes: new place, new people, and new experiences. I’ve never thought I would change as well, but looking back, I can see I am a different person now.
I remember my results day so clearly like it was yesterday. I was so nervous, I didn’t open my results in school and ran back out to open them in the car! I was so relieved to see that I’d got the grades to get into university… I had actually done it!
Moving into halls or student accommodation can be quite nerve-wracking, I, for one, was extremely nervous the day I moved into halls.
Even if it is exciting, change is not always easy to cope with. That is why the first weeks at university can be terrifying, especially if you are an international student who just arrived in a new country. During my transition from Romania to the UK, I encountered 5 challenges of studying abroad.
