Over the three years of your life at university, there will be a lot of social events you’ll be invited to. Whether it’s Freshers’ week, Halloween, a charity event, a house party or a night out with friends – fancy dress will definitely be a fun part of your university experience.
It’s something you will have to do soon if you are joining us in September! It’s the dreading packing up for university.
Before you start university, you will have people throwing advice at you about how to handle student life. The advice comes from all sorts of people; parents, older siblings, cousins and friends.The problem is not all advice is good.
Few weeks into starting uni and strange things started happening to me – I began noticing large creases all over my clothes, which didn’t smell as good when taken out of the washing machine as in past, and I often found myself more exhausted than ever at the end of the day, right after putting that last freshly-clean plate into the tray.
Starting afresh at University doesn’t need to involve a drastic change, and by no means am I going to suggest changing your hair colour or buying a completely new wardrobe.
So you’ve moved in your new university accommodation and enjoyed Freshers’ week. Some of you may have been to course inductions and second and third years may already know what they’re doing for the new university year.
At the end of high school back in Romania, just thinking about my future life as an International Business Management student at the University of Worcester, was surreal.
Now that my first year at university is over (where did the time go?), I can definitely say it was full of changes: new place, new people, and new experiences. I’ve never thought I would change as well, but looking back, I can see I am a different person now.
