September is only round the corner and some of you may be worried about starting university. Here are some of our frequently asked questions to do with registration and accommodation.
Between now and going to university there is just one thing standing in your way; either exams or handing in your final piece of coursework. It’s a daunting prospect, the fact that the grades you get from these pieces of work decide whether you get into your chosen university.
Results day… the day you will have had marked on your calendar from the very start of the year. However terrifying the thought of it may be, the reality is that for some of us who want to go to university, it’s a very important day, one that could decide your future.
When I started university I wasn’t sure whether having a part-time job was a good option for me, I still lived at home and my student finance was giving me enough money to get by. It wasn’t until the January of that year that I decided I was going to move out with my friends for the start of the second year and I needed to get some money together to do that.
It’s coming to that time of year where you are putting the final touches to your application. Depending on your school’s deadlines you may have already sent it off already (congratulations!) or you might still be writing your personal statement (don’t panic – you’ve got till the deadline of January 15th ).
If there is one thing that I am so glad I did during my time at university, it would definitely be the Worcester Award. Although, admittedly, in my first year when I received the email I dismissed it without a second thought, I certainly came to my senses by third year and gave it a try because why not.?
