As much as I love student life within the university, I love to go outside and do stuff within the Worcester community.
University and students, on the whole, are depicted in many different ways in various forms of media.
Living alone for the first time? University life brings a new amount of responsibility. Students suddenly have to manage more aspects of their lives but fortunately, the digital age makes it simple and straightforward.
Now that my brain has finally realised that this was the end of a four-year-long journey, it’s time to start facing the differences between student life and after-the-end-of-uni life.
1. Diversity
Like Big Brother, you get to stay in an accommodation with people that are completely different from. Not always. But it is pretty likely.
I’ve been in Worcester for a couple of years now so it’s safe to say that I’ve gone for a fair few meals out, whether it’s been with my current housemates, first year flatmates, my boyfriend or my family when they’ve come to visit.
You’re going to uni, or you’re at uni and you play an instrument – Why not join a band?
I did.
Over the last year and a half, I have had an absolute blast at University.
I’ve experienced really great days and also the not so great. I’ve had days when I can hardly wait to get up… and other days when I want to keep my head under the pillow for as long as possible.
