Hi there

My name is Gemma; I studied English Language and English Literary Studies at the University of Worcester and graduated with First Class Honours (I am not quite sure how that happened!).

When I began my journey 4 years ago, by embarking on an Access Course I could not have predicted the positively life changing opportunities that I have taken advantage of since then! From gaining great work experience, being published in a journal and cycling to Paris, I have had the time of my life.

The decision to come to University was a huge one for me.  I am a Mum and had worked for 12 years beforehand, but I had always wondered if not going to University meant that I had missed out or whether it held me back from promotions at work. It turns out that I had missed out and I hope to share with you some of the best things about my life at University, as well as the great benefits of studying as a mature student, both for yourselves and your families.
