The UKK Creative Sparks campaign aims to showcase the immense contribution of UK universities make to the nation’s creative industry. Our Creative Writing, English Literature, and Touring Theatre students; Amber Pettit, Casey Bailey, Chloe Hanks, Faye Proctor, Kellan Williams, Lydia Chenhall and Tisa Klicek have gone on to work in exciting and creative careers.
amber pettit

Amber, is a recent English Literature Graduate. Since graduating she has worked as an Anthology Editor for Small Leaf Press. Over the course of the summer, she took part in 48 hours editing event providing feedback for aspiring and underrepresented writers as well as creating an eBook for the magazine. She has recently published an article in JADEN magazine. Amber is currently studying for an MA in English at the University of Worcester and works as a web content coordinator.
casey bailey

Casey Bailey, is a writer performer and educator. In 2019 he was made a Fellow by the University of Worcester. Casey was named Birmingham poet laureate 2020 to 2022 during a National Poetry Day celebration. As poet laureate Casey will act as a poetry ambassador and help raise the profile of poetry across Birmingham.
Chloe Hanks

Chloe Hanks, is a Worcester Creative Writing Graduate, poet, and former winner of the 2020 V Press Poetry Prize and author of ‘May We All Be Artefacts.’ Her poetry has featured in a number of anthologies and her next publication, ‘I Call Upon the Witches’ is due to be released on March 14th. Chloe works part time as a Librarian at HMP Long Lartin whilst studying a Creative Writing Ma with UOB.
faye-alexandra rose proctor

Faye-Alexandra, is a recent Creative Writing and English Literature Graduate. She has two poetry collections published by presses: Pneuma (Sunday Mornings at the River, ’21) that is available for purchase on Waterstones and Amazon, and Mortal beings (Dark Thirty Publishing, forthcoming) along with poems and short stories published in multiple magazines and journals. Faye became the Poetry Editor for Small Leaf Press, and is also a Freelance Writer offering proofreading and feedback services for writers.
kellan river williams

Kellan River is a Creative Writing Graduate and former winner of the 2019 V Press Prize.

Following graduation they studied for an MA at Aberystwyth University. Kellan is also the owner an founder of Seafront Press which supports underrepresented writers.
Lydia chenall

Lydia Chenhall, is a recent Creative Writing Graduate. Halfway through her final year at university, Lydia secured her dream job as a copywriter at DRPG. This opportunity arose when DRPG came to the university and hosted a copywriting masterclass.

Tisa is a recent Graduate with a Masters in Touring Theatre. At last years Brighton Fringe, Tisa’s performed her new show, which was created in collaboration with local chefs called, How to Chop An Onion. How to Chop An Onion received 4-star reviews.
